2015 So Far

I said in my last post that I would try to post weekly and then life happened. So I apologize for not keeping my word. I don’t seem to be getting much done these days as there is always another distraction. Like moving. I went from settled in an apartment that was a little cramped to moving into a townhouse in less than a month. There are still a few things to unpack and make things livable again, otherwise that is going fine.

Then there was my book launch the weekend after the moving of the big furniture. It went well, but mental preparation takes energy from other things. And I was stressing out about whether anyone would show up at all.

Now I was thinking I could get back to work when another stressor was dropped in my lap with no warning. And when something causes that much stress other things pop up to cause more stress, which lands me close to a break down. My mental health is improving, but lots of days feels like a balloon with a pin at ready.

So, that is all why I haven’t gotten to weekly posts for this year despite wanting to write them and put them up. I am hoping that things settle down and the stress levels off soon and I can go back to writing, editing, and putting up posts.

I'm B. Heather Mantler. I have been a writer for most of my life, with my primary focus being novels. In 2010 I learned how to finish a book through NaNoWriMo and have since used NaNoWriMo sessions (November and Camp) to write my fantasy series The Kings of Proster. I also have three other novels out; Committed to Her Enemy, Chenarcor, and Princess or Pirate. I've always got another book on the go. You can find me on Twitter under B. Heather Mantler. Also if you have any suggestions, or things you want to me to write about, send me an e-mail at mantlerpublishing@gmail.com.
